Pokémon card grading

A grade is a company’s opinion of centering, corners, edges, and surface, sealed in a slab. Collectors look up graded Pokémon cards because the same name can be worth a little or a lot depending on that opinion. Cardprice is not PSA and does not grade cards.

What the columns on a card page mean

Raw low, mid, and high
An ungraded copy. Played, excellent, and near-mint are not the same product. The three numbers sketch that range when a quote is stored. They are not three live bids. Price pending means the amount is missing.
PSA 8, PSA 9, and PSA 10
Those columns stay hidden until a slab amount is stored. A stored amount would be a labeled sample or a sourced quote with an as-of date, not a sold comp. An 8 is a strong card with visible flaws. A 9 is the grade many clean copies actually receive. A 10 is the tight end of the scale, and most submissions do not land there. Other companies use other scales. This site does not show them.

Spread versus one grading fee

When both a raw mid and a PSA 10 quote are stored, the table subtracts raw mid from PSA 10 and compares that gap with the Regular tier in the sample fee schedule ($75 per card). Sample. Source: In-repo sample fee schedule. As of October 26, 2026. That fee is not a card price. A pending quote is not treated as $0. A larger gap does not mean the card will grade a 10.

Price pending · Source & delay: Price pending. Market data not connected yet. No marketplace price is stored. This is not a live feed, not a sold or transaction price, and a missing quote is not $0. Buy links still work.

These three printings are on the checklist, and their quotes are pending until a paid source is connected. Use the cost calculator for the fee. Do not treat a missing PSA 10 as $0, and do not assume a card will grade a 10. None of this is investment advice.

Before you ship a card

  1. Match the printing. Number, language, and finish change both the raw figure and the graded one.
  2. Run the cost calculator with your count, a declared value, and your own shipping and insurance estimates.
  3. Read PSA’s current fees, declared-value caps, and turnaround on their site. Our schedule is a sample.
  4. Decide whether you want a slab for the collection even if the math does not pay for itself.
